Make high-risk industries safe and insurable again.
The AVIAN brand handbook. The source of truth for visual identity, voice, vocabulary, and claims.
Built for internal teams, developers, and external marketing partners.
Identity
AVIAN helps companies significantly reduce fire risk, avoid catastrophic incidents, and minimize machine downtime by combining AI, thermal imaging, and real-time data. The technology delivers predictive fire detection and early maintenance insights, so high-risk industries stay insurable, operate safely, and prevent costly disruptions before they happen.
More operations are being deemed too risky to insure. AVIAN exists to reverse that trend with quantifiable, real-time risk data.
What AVIAN delivers
- M01
Reduce fire risk dramatically.
Detect early thermal signatures of ignition before smoke, damage, or shutdown.
- M02
Prevent machine downtime.
Surface bearing, motor, and electrical heat anomalies before they cascade into unplanned outages.
- M03
Operate safely — and remain insurable.
Give insurers and operators a measurable, real-time picture of operational risk.

- Recycling and waste
- Biomass, pellet, and bioenergy
- Grain handling and feed mills
- Food and beverage manufacturing
- Mining
- Ports and bulk material handling
- Lithium refining and battery materials

Vision
The future of risk management in high-risk industries will not be driven by actuarial tables and historical claims data. It will be driven by quantifiable, real-time data.
Today, AVIAN builds AI-powered systems that detect early signs of fire and mechanical failure. Tomorrow, that same infrastructure reshapes how industrial risk is understood, priced, and insured — turning insurance from a reactive system into a proactive one.
The future we’re building
- Insurers price premiums dynamically based on live telemetry, not outdated models.
- Operators are insured on their actual risk profile, backed by preventive data.
- Insurability becomes an outcome — measurable, improvable, earned.
Axioms
- Risk should be preventable.
- Prevention should be measurable.
- Insurance should be earned, not assumed.
Every uninsurable business should be able to become insurable again — not through luck or lobbying, but through data, discipline, and proactive systems.
Principles
These describe how AVIAN behaves and communicates. Apply them to anything written, designed, or built under the brand.
- P01Protect what keeps the world running.
- P02Surface risk before it becomes failure.
- P03Make complex systems understandable.
- P04Stay calm, precise, and credible.
AVIAN is serious because the environments are serious. Calm, because operators need clarity under pressure. Technical, because credibility comes from understanding the system, not decorating the message.
Logo
The AVIAN logo should behave like text. On light surfaces, use the default foreground color. On dark surfaces, use white. Do not recolor the logo with heat colors or gradients.
Default treatment for white, card, and muted backgrounds.
Use on dark blue, image overlays, and inverted surfaces.
- L01Use the AVIAN wordmark in the default foreground color on light surfaces.
- L02Use the AVIAN wordmark in white on dark blue or other dark surfaces.
- L03Do not place the logo in heat colors, gradients, or decorative accent colors.
- L04Keep enough clear space for the wordmark to read as a technical mark, not a badge.
Color
Color is operational language. Surfaces and text tokens carry the chrome. Orange carries website links and interaction; in operational content, it means escalated heat or risk. The brand gradient is the AVIAN signature.
Text
Foreground for headings and primary copy. Muted Foreground carries body text and supporting prose.
Stop fires before they start.
AVIAN watches the heat pattern between manual rounds and flags abnormal readings before they escalate.
Brand accents
The AVIAN spectrum. Each accent carries a meaning — foundation, structure, status, verified — not a vibe.
Brand spectrum
The AVIAN signature. Used as a thin rule under the wordmark, in the footer, and in select editorial accents.

Rules
- R01Light surfaces are the default. Dark Blue is reserved for moments of weight, hero treatments, code, and inverted dark surfaces.
- R02Blue and Light Blue carry interface, structure, and calm technical signal.
- R03Orange is the default website link and interaction color. In operational content, Orange is reserved for escalated heat or risk.
- R04Yellow watches, Orange escalates, Red is critical. Heat is status, not decoration.
- R05Green is the verified state. Use sparingly for confirmed, healthy, or operational signal.
- R06Never spread heat colors as accent. One thermal color per surface, anchored to a real condition.
- R07The brand gradient is an AVIAN signature. Do not recolor, reorder, or extend it.
Website links are orange.
Light pages stay quiet: foreground for headings, muted foreground for body, orange for a clear interactive affordance.
Read color rulesOperational orange is different.
When content is about equipment state, heat, or severity, orange means escalated risk. Do not use it as generic emphasis there.

Monitoring standard
Voice
- V01Lead with the operational problem.
- V02Be specific. Operators trust details, not adjectives.
- V03Treat heat colors and severity language as status, never decoration.
- V04Anchor every claim to fire risk, downtime, or insurability.
“Make your facility smarter with our innovative monitoring platform.”
“Catch hot bearings before they take a conveyor offline.”
“AVIAN delivers seamless, AI-powered insights for industrial operations.”
“AVIAN watches the heat pattern between manual rounds and flags abnormal readings before they escalate.”
“Transform safety with revolutionary thermal intelligence.”
“See thermal events early enough to act before damage spreads or insurance is at risk.”
Story spine
When in doubt, walk the reader through the operational chain: problem → risk → insight → action → outcome. Every section, page, or post should land somewhere on that spine.
- Problem. Critical systems fail silently between manual rounds.
- Risk. Small anomalies become expensive downtime, damage, or fire.
- Insight. AVIAN detects abnormal heat patterns before they escalate.
- Action. Reliability and EHS teams get clear, system-level alerts.
- Outcome. Fewer incidents, faster response, more reliable, more insurable operations.
Vocabulary
Concrete operator vocabulary lands. Empty adjectives don’t. Use the left column. Cut the right column unless the page explicitly substantiates the claim.
- Fire riskNames the consequence the reader is accountable for.
- Insurable / insurabilityConnects operational behavior to a financial outcome.
- Thermal coverageSpecific. Names what AVIAN actually provides.
- Failure modeReal engineering concept operators recognize.
- Hot bearing / hotspotConcrete. Maps to a real component.
- Unplanned downtimeOperational consequence the reader cares about.
